Tempest- Alex Seely

Heavy rain like cataracts of angry tears
Falls gently on delicate landscaped.
Replenishing, revitalizing, and renourishing
What lies beneath the blackened sky.

Lightning cracks through the cascading darkness,
But the world seems serene.
We wait, and wait for the calming down,
Only to be disappointment, yet pleased.

The cleansing storm washed away
A grime that masked the truth.
That our earth is not a perfect place,
But beautiful nonetheless.
