Inside The Midst Of The Moment - Harold Tanoh

Tension rising among athletes of another level
Fingers and palms sweating due to fear
Knowing, in the end conquest would value every tear
Persevere through it all athletes…several
Put it all on the line for that jaw-dropping medal
Worth all the pain and cramps from inside
In the end emotions will no longer hide
On that hardwood, everything calm and settle
True talent is then unleashed within one’s self
Bitter taste of defeat, one can do but dream
Capable of making one’s emotions melt
The ride and competition are more than they seem;
Victory is worth going through it all
Giving pride and confidence to stand proud and tall
