Sleep, my dear, I ask that you embrace me not!
I wish to remember the light of yesterday.
I beg that you will not call my name today.
Do not tempt me with that smirk you’ve got.
It is your terrible scheme that makes my mind rot.
All of my memories fade and go away.
Oh, how you make my head swing and sway!
But now I will no longer be your fool.
Your plan is useless and leaves you to ponder.
You must now find another mind to rule,
As I leave you stranded and begin to wander.
My feet take off and I begin to run.
I embrace the light and find my school work undone.
