As I lay here,
Tearing myself
Up and
Down,
I try futily
To find the light
But I’ve lost the switch.
I have crawled farther and farther
Into this damp, dark pit.
It has become almost comfortable,
This rough and dirty floor.
But I cannot find my light.
It is becoming harder and harder to see.
So I will make this one last attempt to find the switch.
I search through the nigh unreachable parts of my mind,
And I’ve found it.
Those lyrics,
The ones that lift the veil and show me,
The sun.
“Little darlin’ it’s been a long cold, lonely winter
Little darlin’t it’s been so long since it’s been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
And I say it’s alright”
-The Beatles
His voice is the one I can focus on completely.
Their melodies are the ones that raise me from the floor.
Their words are the one that show me the light of the sun.
