Why do we do this and that?
Why do we always have to go tit for tat?
Why do we let others take the blame?
Just so we can avoid the pain?
Why do we have horrible ways of making ourselves feel good?
Why do we not treat others the way we should?
Why do we live in such a selfish environment?
Why do we not think twice about our actions but are quick to repent?
Why do we say we will do better than we did before
But then end up dealing with the same amount of problems of not more?
Why do we fight and make war
When we know that it will leave us worse off than before?
Why do we think that life is all about money and fame?
Why do we commit to doing anything to get it just for others to know our name?
Why do we not know what we have until it is too late?
Why do we let ourselves be consumed with hate?
Why do we let things get this way?
And when asked these questions no one knows what to say?
Answer me this and then I am through
