White Dress - Sierra Kelley

The birds fly off,
and decend into my heart.
they build a nest there.
symbolizing their creator.
you've taken over my heart,
with your ugly crows.
they peck at my flesh,
and eat away any trace of love,
each second becoming more unbearable.
then, not tears, but blood,
start to pour from my cold emerald stare.
the blood continues to streak my face,
and take over my lacy white dress.
sadly, I've passed the pain on,
to another pair of beautiful eyes.
as my dress soaks to red,
I wonder,
what i'm doing here.
love.
I'm here for love.
a love that is a heartache soaked,
bloody war.
Surrendering is out of reach now.
pride has overtaken both of us,
this fight is to the death
