           I was naïve enough to believe you when you told me you would never hurt me again. I believed any word that would come through those lips.
You told me she was just a friend.
            Told me that my face was all you saw. You had no interest in her feelings, only mine. I thought I knew in my heart of hearts that what you spoke was true.

You told me I was the only one you loved. You gave me that one promise. And I kept that promise to warm my heart and keep the demons at bay.
