One foot in front of the other - Mary Beth Mitchell

Shiver shiver little girl

Wither away from the hate

In this world.

Stand like a tree

Sugar coated in ice.

Embrace the wind

And take it's advice.

The rain, the snow

The beat of the hail.

The heart of the storm

Is hot on your tail.

The fog in your mind

Is closing you in.

With frost on your toes

Your hope's wearing thin.

But you must press on

Through winters thick cover.

By placing one foot

In front of the other.
