Ode to the Odeless - Paroe Dhingra

Some may say to ode to the odeless is useless

But to me it is indefinitely vital

Have you ever thought of the boy down the street

The one that looks into the air

Wandering through the streets aimlessly

Or the man that never speaks

Thinking only about his wife long gone

Late at night he hears her sing

Crazy some may say but it’s his little fate

Or the girl who seeks imagination

While we spread our branches to everyone we see

Her book and thoughts keep her safe

While you speak endlessly she flies to another place

Have you ever thought of the young mother?

The one that sits silently holding her mistakes

Loving her baby but unable to understand her motive

Boy long gone, heart in hand.

Courage keeps her sane

Jumping into the water of risks

Proud of her responsibility

They hold their passion so closely

Extraordinarily they are unseen

Odeless to many but saying so many words to me
