It Came in a Stream of Consciousness - Ezekiel Mihelcic

Everyday you wake up and wonder what difference you'll make in the world. Well, I hate to disappoint you, but you'll make no difference in the end. It doesn't matter how many people's lives you touch; they'll die just as you will. Their children will die, and their grandchildren, and so forth. In fact, everyone will die. Everything will die. The universe will eventually gasp its last breath in a few billion years and undergo its own death. The cosmos themselves will be torn apart by the forces of entropy and chaos. Every planet, every star, every galaxy, every nebula, every beautiful work of nature, gone. So, what's the point? That's for every one of us to find on our own. Maybe that is the point; the search for a reason. Maybe it's not the destination, but the journey. Or maybe I'm just searching for meaning to comfort myself. Maybe there really isn't any meaning. But I'd rather not believe that.
