If I squint, I can still see your face - Meghan Jacoby

It will not last the night

I watch you go; I know that you will leave me

Medicine, I need you, I take you in

I beg you to please

Cure my illness

Waking dreams and nightmares

And I hope, I pray, that this does not

Make you pity me

For I am weak, weak, without you,

And I need to be cured

Do not stay though, because you feel you must

These stars, at night, are blinding

And so I do not see you leave
