Cheap Thrills - Tierney Ragsdale

All you saw in me were cheap thrills,

           a weak kill.

Shackled me,
          pinned me down.

You said to me, “Come to me pretty, little baby doll,
Let’s tango with those chains around your legs.”

Took your pretty little dolly and dressed her up to throw me into infinity,

Used sweet, soft caresses to hold me down in the ground.

Bring me down now into your dirt encrusted tomb,
Swaddle me there in your binding roots

Leaving me to love all the hate you’ve left behind,
The only thing you’ve left behind.
